Grants and Donations

Ditchling Parish Council is keen to support initiatives in the local community and has an annual budget to provide organisations for funding to support projects in the parish.

Applications are invited every year. They should be submitted by the 1st December so the council can consider them at the December parish council meeting. The grant application form and grants policy can be found on the Policies and Procedures page.

Some of the examples of grants that have been awarded in the past couple of years are: 

 Ditchling Horticultural Society  £750  Towards the cost of the 200th anniversary horticultural show which will be held in September 2022
 Ditchling Street Westmeston PCC  £250  Towards maintenance of the village church clock. 
The Monday Group  £500   Rights of way improvements and repairs

The budget for 2022/23 is £2,000 and funding is still available for the current financial year so if you have a project in mind, please do contact the Clerk to find out more about the grant scheme.

Ditchling Parish Council awarded the following grants in December 2022.




The Monday Group

 £500 To improve right of way in Ditchling Parish and the wider area, eg path clearance, obstruction removal, stile, bridge and causeway replacements, repairs and waymarking.
 Ditchling Friends-Parents and Teachers Association (DFPTA) £1300

 Project to improve frontage of  Primary school by removing hedging and replacing with new hedge and planting to be supportive of environment and wildlife and the installation of timber bollards.

 Ditchling Streat and Westmeston Sports Group £200
 New Cup for village sports day.
